LEVANT — Ilona (Matyasi) Lucza, 72, beloved wife of Jozsef Lucza Sr. of Levant, ME, passed away in Bath, after a courageous battle with liver cancer, on July 4, 2015. She was born in Pahi, Hungary, on Sept. 8, 1942, the daughter of Istvan Matyasi and Julianna Csosz. She had lived in Hungary before moving to the United States in 1984 and was a longtime resident of Enfield, CT, prior to moving to Levant in 2002.

Ilona was very passionate about her cooking, and always looked forward to family enjoying a good meal. She also loved flowers, as much as flowers loved her. There wasn’t anything that she couldn’t grow. She was very proud of her gardens.

She will forever be missed but will live on in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory may donate to

Winship Green, c/o Tamas Lucza, 33 Spruce St., Sabattus, ME 04280.
