SCARBOROUGH — Shirley R. Morneault, 55, died July 2 after a long battle with inflammatory breast cancer.
Morneault was born Oct. 29, 1959, and grew up in Maine, enjoying peaceful summer days at Crescent Lake and Wells Beach. She loved horses, sewing and most of all, spending time with family and friends. She was known for her generous heart and willingness to always help others.
She was predeceased by her father, Thomas A. Randall.
Morneault is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ron; daughter, Abigail; mother, Muriel Randall; sisters, Susan and her husband, Steve Maloney, Kathy and her husband, Mike Marquis, Becky and her husband, Mark DeWever, and Audrey and her husband, Tom Beikman; brother, Stephen; husband’s parents, Adrien and Jeannine Morneault; in-laws, Sharon and Gene Ouellette, Michael and Debbie Morneault, Allan and Liz Morneault, and David and Teresa Morneault; and nieces and nephews, Kate, Mary, Amanda, Ben, Corey, Nick, Tom, Dan, Annie, Josh, David, Derek, Adam, Melyssa, Michelle, Myles, Mikey, Josh, Matt, Jesse, Brooke and Holly.
She is also survived by her “second families” at Len Libby Candies, the Hemonds and the Daniels, and will be missed by many friends.
A celebration of Morneault’s life was scheduled for Friday, July 10, from 4-7 p.m. at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 11, at 9 a.m., at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 150 Black Point Road, Scarborough. A reception will follow at the church.
Interment will be at Black Point Cemetery, Scarborough.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Morneault’s name to the Maine Cancer Foundation, 170 U.S. Route 1, Suite 250, Falmouth, ME 04105-2512.
