BOWDOINHAM — Josephine M. Gray, 95, of 37 Bay Road, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at her home.
She was born in Bangor on Dec. 3, 1919, the daughter of Ralph H. and Edith Mae Pinkham Newbert and attended East Holden schools. She moved here in 1944 and raised her children on the Ridge Road. She was a member of the E. Holden Community Church.
Her husband, Lester H. Gray, died in 1976.
She was predeceased by two sons, Robert Lee and Francis A. Gray, and four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by four sons, Stanley L. of FL., Charles L. of CT., Lester H. Jr. of Winslow and Richard L. Gray of Bowdoinham; five daughters, Hazel A. Griffin, Edith Mae Elwell and Velma E. Brown, all of Brunswick, Patricia A. Cobb of Bowdoinham and Jaunita M. West of PA.; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Harts Cemetery in E. Holden. Arrangements are in the care of Brackett Funeral Home in Brunswick.
