SCARBOROUGH – On Wednesday, June 24, at 6:30 p.m. the Scarborough Public Library will host its first Local Author Showcase featuring recently published authors from Scarborough and neighboring communities. Each author will talk about their book and there will also be an opportunity to ask questions and purchase books.

The authors and featured works at this inaugural event are, Richard Afuma, author of “The Python Trail: An Immigrant’s Path form Cameroon to America;” Brenda Buchanan, who wrote the mystery “Quick Pivot;” Richard Shain Cohen, author of “Our Seas of Fear and Love;” Stephen Johnson, whose novel is entitled, “Those That I Guard;” Anthony Rich, who wrote the memoir, “The Lighter Side of Falling;” and Joseph Souza, author of “Unpaved Surfaces.”
