Game notes: Scarborough is going for its fifth state title since 2007, all won in odd-numbered years. Included is a 5-0 win over Messalonskee in 2011. Scarborough has lost three games over the last four years. Messalonskee has one state title (2005) and has reached the final five other times.

Game notes: Yarmouth is making its first appearance in a state final. Hermon, the defending champion, has won three state titles overall. The Clippers haven’t allowed a run in the playoffs and have committed only two errors in the three games. The Hawks have not lost since May 6, a string of 15 consecutive victories. Hermon has allowed just three runs in the tournament.
