Snack Time

When school is out, more people use the local food pantries. Snacks, boxed juices, things like raisins and crackers, are always needed. If you would like to help, give Collette a call at 892-1931 to find out the current needs. When you visit the Food Pantry, check out the Clothes Closet downstairs – they have lots of good (some brand new) clothing, shoes, jackets, shorts, and even kids’ books. Thanks to the support of the community, its businesses and organizations for their support. The Food Pantry/Clothes Closet is across from the Friends Church and is open Monday-Thursday.

Money Smart Choices

On Wednesday, June 24, at 10:30 a.m., Windham Public Library presents Money Smart Choices for the Future. This program addresses the ultimate in advance planning – making our “final arrangements” in advance of our death. “Final arrangements” usually encompass the care and disposition of our remains, religious and/or secular rituals and a range of practical financial and logistical matters. The more complete a plan in place, the less survivors will need to address upon a loved one’s death; the more thoughtfully created the plan is, the more “Money Smart” it is. Join to discuss how to be “Money Smart” about this form of advance planning. Presented by Dignity Memorial Funeral Homes.
