BRUNSWICK — The First Parish Church of Brunswick is hosting its annual Strawberry Festival from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 26, at the gazebo on the Brunswick Mall.
Quarts of freshly picked strawberries will be for sale, as will strawberry sundaes, homemade jams, strawberry rhubarb pies, and traditional strawberry shortcake with home-baked biscuits.
Proceeds from the event are used to benefit the First Parish Music Program, under the direction of Ray Cornils. The program includes a major choral/orchestral concert each year, five vocal and two bell choirs, and a summer organ concert series, featuring guest organists.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
