
She was born in Pawtucket, RI, a daughter of Edward James and Mavis Harris Lee. She was a graduate of Tolman High School, Pawtucket, class of 1962, as well as Finnans School of Beauty Culture.
She was a member of the Navy Auxiliary and Navy Relief for both Patuxent River, MD, and Brunswick, ME. While living in Maryland, she worked as a literary tutor in St. Mary’s County, as well as volunteered for the St. Mary’s Health Department. During her residence locally, she had been an active member of People Plus in Brunswick.
She is survived by her two sons, Ed Walters and Kurt Walters, both of California, MD; a sister, Janice Whitelaw of Tyro, Nova Scotia; five grandchildren, Joshua Walters, Brent Walters, Gavin Walters, Seth Walters and Logan Walters.
At her request, a family service will be private. Interment will take place in Chepachet Cemetery, Chepachet, RI. Memories and condolences can be expressed at www.brackettfuneralhome.com.
