The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for north central York County and southwestern Cumberland County. The warning is effective until 5 p.m.

The weather service said at 4:44 p.m. that a storm was over the southern part of Hollis, moving east at 35 mph. It said the storm was capable of producing quarter-size hail and winds in excess of 60 mph.
