The Maine State Police were dealing with “security issue” late Monday night at their barracks in Gray.

Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said several units responded to the building on Route 26 before 10 p.m., WCSH-TV reported.

McCausland declined early Tuesday to describe the cause of the security issue, but said it would be “resolved shortly.”

A state trooper who answered the phone at the barracks declined to describe what was going on.
