Bean paid tribute to Leon Gorman at its Taylor Building on Casco Street in Freeport on May 15 by presenting him with his portrait. Gorman is chairman emeritus for L.L. Bean, as well as its former chief executive officer. According to the company, when he assumed the role of CEO in 1967, the company’s revenue was under $5 million. By the time he stepped down, L.L.
