PORTLAND
Bishop Robert P. Deeley will celebrate an outdoor Memorial Day Mass at Cavalry Cemetery on 1461 Broadway in South Portland at 9 a.m. Monday, May 25. The Mass will be celebrated in the Saint Dominic/Armed Forces section of the new cemetery. In the event of rain, it will take place at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church on 150 Black Point Road in Scarborough.

St. Mary’s Cemetery,
Houlton
Prayers will be offered at the old cemetery, located behind St. Mary of the Visitation Church on 112 Military
Street, following the 6 p.m. Mass.
Sunday, May 24
St. Agnes Cemetery, Island Falls
Prayers will be offered at the cemetery following the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Agnes Church on 76 Sewall Street.
Mount Hope Cemetery, Lewiston
There will be a prayer service at noon in front of the Calvary statue of Mount Hope Cemetery, which is located on 80 Mount Hope Avenue.
St. Joseph’s Cemetery,
Biddeford
A prayer service will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel of the cemetery, which is located on 120 West Street. The service is weather permitting.
St. Mary’s Cemetery,
Biddeford
A prayer service will take place at 2:30 p.m. at the flagpole in the St. Patrick’s section of St. Mary’s, which is located on 530 Elm Street. The service is weather permitting.
Monday, May 25
St. John Cemetery,
Rumford
Father Greg Dube will celebrate Memorial Day Mass at the cemetery, located on Isthmus Road, at 8 a.m., weather permitting.
St. Mary’s Cemetery,
Houlton
Prayers will be offered at St. Mary’s Cemetery on County Road at 9 a.m. (new cemetery)
St. Mary’s Cemetery,
Manchester
St. Michael Parish will conduct a Memorial Day Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, located on Pelton Hill. Attendees are advised to bring their own lawn chairs. In the event of rain, the Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Church on 41 Western Avenue in Augusta.
Holy Cross Cemetery, Yarmouth
A Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Cemetery on Smith Street in Yarmouth at 9 a.m. Attendees are advised to bring their own lawn chairs. In the event of rain, the Mass will be moved to Sacred Heart Church on 326 Main Street in Yarmouth.
St. Peter’s Cemetery,
Lewiston
Monsignor Marc Caron, pastor of Prince of Peace Parish, will celebrate Mass in the Mausoleum Chapel at St. Peter’s Cemetery at 10 a.m. St. Peter’s Cemetery is located on 217 Switzerland Road in Lewiston. All are invited to attend the Mass.
St. John’s Cemetery, Brunswick
Father Frank Murray, pastor of All Saints Parish, will lead a prayer service at St. John’s Cemetery, located on Pine Street, starting at 11 a.m. near the flagpole at the center of the cemetery. The service is weather permitting.
