BOYS
Jake Lebel, Marshwood, baseball: Lebel belted three-run homers in consecu- tive at-bats to lead the Hawks to an 11-1 rout of previously unbeaten South Portland. Lebel had an RBI single in the first inning and finished with seven RBI.
HONORABLE MENTION
Owen Thoreck, Cape Elizabeth, lacrosse: Thoreck, a sophomore attackman, scored three goals against Falmouth and four against Scarborough to help the defending Class B state champ get off to a 6-0 start.
Mike Gilman, Windham, baseball: Gilman, a freshman, batted .583, scored five runs and pitched a complete-game victory against Biddeford to earn his first varsity win as the Eagles won three games to even their record at 3-3.
Henry Curran, South Portland, baseball: Curran pitched a one-hitter with 19 strikeouts to lead the Red Riots to a 1-0 win over Cheverus.
GIRLS
Merritt Ryan, Portland, lacrosse: Ryan scored seven goals to lead the Bulldogs to a 13-7 win over Cony in girls’ lacrosse, then added six goals in a 10-9 loss to Cheverus on Tuesday.
HONRABLE MENTION
Madison Olsen, Morse, lacrosse: Olsen, a junior attacker, scored four goals in a win against Winslow, two in a victory over Lincoln Academy and two more in a loss to Brunswick.
Sophomores Amanda Watson and Kate Kelley, Falmouth, tennis: The pair defeated teammates Mary Hyland and Meg Pierce 6-1, 6-2 in the championship match to win the Western Maine Conference doubles tennis tournament.
Kaleigh Scoville, Scarborough, softball: Scoville went 4 for 4 with a home run and four RBI as the Red Storm improved to 7-0 with a 16-3 win over Massabesic.
