Banjo concert set

Doc’s Banjo Band will be in concert at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at Scarborough Terrace. This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Call Elizabeth at 885-5568 to RSVP.

Fairy House Fest at Camp Ketcha

On Sunday, May 17, 9 a.m.-noon, Camp Ketcha in Scarborough will hold its annual Fairy House Festival. The cost is $10 per person and tickets must be purchased in advance. Go online to www.campketcha.org/fairy-festival/ to purchase your tickets today.

The festival features a morning of magic, enchantment and fun for all ages. Bring the whole family to this event that encourages outdoor play and an appreciation of nature.

Activities include story time, a presentation on how to build a fairy house and the creation of a fairy house village. Other activities are fairy crafts, maypole dancing, pony rides and more.

The event will go on rain or shine and will be held inside if the weather is uncooperative.

Family Fun Day at Fiddlehead

Meet primary school librarians

Families who have children starting kindergarten in Scarborough this fall are invited to meet the primary school librarians for a special story time at the Scarborough Public Library on Thursday, May 14, at 10:30 a.m.

The librarians will read from some of their favorite picture books. In addition, the children will have the opportunity to make a connection with their school librarian, while parents will be introduced to the collaborative relationship that exists between the public library and school library staff.
