A crew from Harry C. Crooker & Sons of Topsham spent most of the day on May 5 lifting the new L.L. Bean replica boot in two sections from a flatbed truck, and placing it in position at the entrance to the L.L. Bean Flagship Store in downtown Freeport. The new boot is about the same size as the original, 14 feet high,16½ feet long and 6 feet wide, and weighing 15,000 pounds. The original giant boot, installed for L.L.
