ARUNDEL — A 27-year-old local woman wanted on warrants ranging from failing to appear in court on drug charges to theft was arrested early this morning after sheriff’s deputies forced their way into a home on Cliff Ledge Drive.
Kaitlin R. Toler was taken into custody on three warrants and is being held without bail. She was scheduled to appear this afternoon at Biddeford District Court via video link from York County Jail.
When deputies arrived at the residence to answer a disturbance call shortly after 1 a.m., a man inside the home, Dale Goodwin, told them he was alone. Sheriff Bill King said deputies observed that Toler was inside, and after a negotiation with Goodwin through a locked door, Toler emerged from a back room.
“Toler refused to obey the deputies commands to exit the residence and fled farther into the house,” King wrote in a news release. “Goodwin continued to refuse entry. The deputies forced entry and arrested Toler, as well as Goodwin.”
Goodwin, 53, was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension, with bail set at $300.
