The Stable On Front Gallery, which opened in November at 110 Front St. in Bath, is currently exhibiting art and fine craft by Maine artists.

The Stable On Front is the sister gallery to The Stable Gallery in Damariscotta, which is celebrating their tenth year this summer. Many Stable favorites are featured at both locations, such as painters Hati Modr, Pamela Hansen and Rosalind Welsh. Glass artist Joy Scott and ceramic artists Tyler Gulden and Liz Profetty also have work in Bath.

Additionally, there are many new artists showing their work. Joselyn Walsh is currently exhibiting her “fantastic bead mosaic” sea creatures, as well as some lively jewelry. Jessica Sirois, Mary Hall and Lynn Thompson are offering other amazing jewelry creations as well.

Margaret Leonard is showing some whimsical and intriguing mixed media pieces. Jeffery Lipton has wonderful pottery on display and Nicholas Downing is offering fine forged iron utensils. There are over thirty artists represented at the Stable on Front Gallery, as well as wonderful gifts sure to please any taste.

Caroline Clare Davis is the proprietor of the Bath location and has curated an eclectic and whimsical collection for the current show entitled “Mother.” Also offered are paper and fresh flower arrangements in vintage containers for Mother’s Day.

The show opens on tonight with a reception from 4-7 p.m. Mat O’Donnell will play guitar, refreshments will be served and the new CD release by Max Ater will be on sale. This event is free, and the public is invited to attend.
