The seventh annual Brunswick Teen Center Scoop-A-Thon benefit was held Wednesday at Gelato Fiasco in

Brunswick. Local musicians performed outside while face-painting and balloon animals were on hand inside the store. The 12-hour event featured “celebrity scoopers,” including Bowdoin College athletes, local school teachers, business and nonprofit representatives and members of the Brunswick Town Council serving up gelato. Otto the Moose, McGruff the Crime Dog and Sparky the Fire Dog also made appearances. Gelato Fiasco donated all sales beyond their seasonal average to the center. More than 1,000 people attend or volunteer each year, according to Gelato Fiasco. About $5,000 was raised at last year’s Scoop-A-Thon. Located at People Plus on
