FREEPORT — Crews began paving a portion of Route 1 in Freeport Wednesday.
The paving will take place on Route 1 from Exit 24 and proceed northerly for approximately 1.3 miles to the Brunswick line. Alternating one-way traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Motorists should anticipate slight delays through the construction zone.
Shaw Brothers of Gorham are undertaking the $550,000 project, which is anticipated to be completed by the first week of June.
