BRUNSWICK — Habitat 7 Rivers’ 22nd Annual Spring Walk to Build will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3, in Brunswick.
The organization’s largest fundraiser will begin at St. Charles Borromeo Church, located at 132 McKeen St., and an anticipated 200 walkers will walk the 4-mile route. This year the walkers will arrive at Habitat’s Hope Lane subdivision, where there will be a brief groundbreaking ceremony for the second of the four homes to be built on the site. Refreshments will be available there for walkers before they begin the return trip to St. Charles. The course is on sidewalks, on flat terrain and is family-friendly.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
