The opening day for South Portland National Little League will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2. Activities for the kids include face painting, speed pitch and refreshments. There will be a barbecue beginning at noon that will be free for players and coaches. Softball and baseball games will be played following the opening ceremonies to kick off the season.
