BATH — Jeannette Rose Hyde-Madsen, 86, of Congress Avenue, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
Jeannette was born in Bath on Aug. 24, 1928, the daughter of James L. and Beatrice C. Dufault Hyde. She attended Topsham and Brunswick schools.
She and her late husband, Clinton S. Berrie, owned Berrie’s Jewelry and Optical store in Brunswick. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, cooking, crossword puzzles, spending time with family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bath.
She was predeceased by her son, Robert Mark Snow of Topsham on Oct. 8, 1976; a brother, James Hyde; a sister, Louise B. Russell; and a sister, Helen J. Greene.
Surviving are a daughter Elaine Snow Poole and her husband Louis C. Poole of Michigan; two grandchildren: Kelley R. Fisher and her husband Terry of Colleyville, TX, and Kevin R. Poole of Zion, IL; five greatgrandchildren, aunts, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial Mass was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Lincoln Street, Bath, on April 7, 2015. A committal service will be held at Rogers Cemetery in early summer.
