A Lewiston home was destroyed by a fire Sunday morning that officials say appears to have been started by a space heater.

WCSH reported that no one was hurt in the fire at 20 Mason Ave., but three cats were killed by the blaze.

Fire officials said no one was at home when the fire started. The fire is not considered suspicious, officials said.

The name of the home owner was not immediately available from officials.
