Christians are being beheaded in numbers not seen since 600-something A.D. In this country, Christian organizations are being lopped off college campuses in the name of “tolerance” nationwide. One can read about the “crackdown on religious liberty” at the National Association of Scholars website. Please understand that the NAS seeks not to tear down any educational institution. However when the “marketplace of ideas” turns into an indoctrination camp of intolerance, they will not be silent. Nor will I.
In our great military, our Chaplains are not allowed to us the name of Jesus in open prayer. Your child can get reprimanded and sent home for wearing a Christian T- shirt, see www.aclj.org. Anti-Semitism is on the rise in Europe not seen since the 1930s and in this country as well. Holocaustforgotten.com tells what many Christians already know. About 3 million Christians were killed for their faith alongside 3 million Jews in Poland alone. This long historical thread of evil is just that, Evil. It is not a sociological issue as the socially liberal academic believes. God’s people are the object of His Love. That is why God’s people are targeted by Satan. The next time you hear ‘Sympathy for the Devil” on your car radio check out those lyrics; Mick Jagger nailed it pretty well.
So then, how is it, in these horrific times, that Christians are able to keep a cheer about them while the “ tolerant” liberal “authorities” are trying so hard to silence them ( or worse)?
Well, first off, I don’t have room to write all the exacting prophetic chapter and verse that tells us that everything that is going on today, is already written down. There is great peace in knowing what is in front of you even if the news is not good, at least for the time being. However, in the book of Hebrews God tells us that “I, the messiah” am in the volume or majority of the book. The book meaning the Old Testament of the Bible as well.
The madness of extreme hate by mankind for this messiah is all written out with astounding accuracy in Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53, written thousands of years ago. Folks, everything that Jesus ever did was a fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy, even his virgin birth, Isaiah 7 and 49. The book of Mathew was written by a Jew for the Jew as their messiah first. Mathew makes constant reference to the ancient prophecies and Jesus fulfilling them. Yet, to a large degree, the Jewish people reject him.
Now this is not some kind of anti-Semitic idea, because NO ONE supports Israel more than Christians! As the White House meddled in the re-election of their prime minister ( according to Jerusalem Post.com’s “ Obama’s Shocking Interference into Israel’s Election) and Hamas launches rockets at them almost constantly (Jewishvirtuallibrary.org), we Christians do love Israel and respect their sovereignty as a nation. We are not fooled by the Israel- hating media, White House, and the anti- Semitic “United Nations.”
The point is that Isaiah 53 and 49 both say that they would reject Him, their own scriptures! There will however be a turn around on this in the future. Written about 480 B.C., the book of Zechariah speaks of Israel being hated by all of the world and completely on their own surrounded by hate. Sound familiar? There is reference to the Antichrist, but then the eyes of the Jewish people being opened “they shall look upon me whom they have pierced,” Zechariah 12: 9 & 10. It also says in verse 9 that all nations that come against Jerusalem will be destroyed. If Barack Obama, radical Islam and the U.N only knew whom they are messing with!
One might say, “Doesn’t all of this require some kind of for-knowledge of the future?” Yes, it does. “Is that not impossible?” Yes, it is, except for the provable historical timeline of Biblical scripture. Then add the 200-plus prophecies about Jesus alone, and one has proof of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible being divine in origin. Please look for yourself. There is no other “ religious” writing in all of humanity that speaks outside of our time/space continuum like the trinity does throughout the scriptures. It is not some blind faith. We let evolutionist Richard Dawkins do that in his idea that DNA came from another planet! One can read of this speculative theory called “science,” “how did life arise on earth” on livescience.com
Jesus is a factual historical figure. He was brutally tortured and murdered for his message of “love one another” and forgiveness that breaks the chain of generational retribution as seen in the “ religion” of another faith.
Our Christian world view is this. He was here, He gave to us, He willingly went to his death on our behalf and He beat death, promising you eternal life. He is alive and active today in what He already said of himself and the world events that are happening right in front of you. Jesus … don’t leave earth without Him. Happy Easter! And a Glorious Passover!
