TOPSHAM — The Topsham Parks and Recreation Department is offering spring field hockey clinics, which are now open for registration.
The program is being offered for players in the beginner to advanced skill levels for kids from kindergarten though eighth grade.
There are two, four-week sessions being offered on Sundays, starting on May 3. However, the program will not run Memorial Day weekend.
The clinic for kindergarten through third grade will run from 3 p.m to 4:15 p.m., with the fourth through eighth graders following from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Each group is based off the grade of your child come Fall of this year.
These sessions will be held at the Foreside Road Facility under the guidance of Mt. Ararat High School varsity field hockey coach Krista Chase. The cost of the clinics are $35 and will include a T-shirt. This program is open to all students who reside in the SAD 75 area.
Players need to bring a stick, shin guards, water bottle and a mouth guard. There will be some extra sticks available to borrow. Stick packages, which include a stick, ball and shin guards, are available for purchase.
