
Barbara graduated from Brunswick High School, class of 1961. She soon met and married her husband of 52 years, Thomas S. Casey. Her working life included bank teller, IRS accountant, and real estate broker in Massachusetts and Florida. In 1994, they returned to live in Maine, where she retired as manager of the Jockey Store in Freeport in 2004.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, her daughter, Kathryn May and husband Daryl May, of Cary, NC; grandchildren, Megan, Courtney and Kyle; older sister, Patricia (Adams) Beasley, of Apex, NC; and younger sister, Nancy Illemann Rock and her husband Richard W. Rock II, of Jeffersonville, VT; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held in the spring by the family.
