Chamber Singers In Concert
The Windham Chamber Singers will perform in concert on Saturday, March 28, at 7 p.m. at the North Windham Union Church showcasing their spring tour program. Tickets will be sold at the door and are $12 for adults and $10 for students, children, and seniors. The box office opens at 6:15. This concert is the 22nd in the Music with a Mission series sponsored by the North Windham Union Church. The church donates a portion of the proceeds to area nonprofits. The first 21 concerts have provided more than $18,000 for mission support to the church and other community organizations.
The Chamber Singers have chosen to support Windham Neighbors Helping Neighbors with the community proceeds from this concert. The dedicated volunteers at Windham Neighbors Helping Neighbors provide fuel assistance to people in need throughout the community.
Bean Supper
Cornerstone Assembly of God, Cottage Road, Windham, will host a bean supper on Saturday, March 21 from 5-6:30 p.m. Along with the beans, they will also be serving hot dogs, casseroles, salads, rolls, cornbread, and plenty of homemade desserts. Fundraisers for Child Care
Windham School Age Child Care Program is holding a RADA Cutlery fundraiser. According to Donna Cobb, this fundraiser has an Internet feature in which you may place orders and they will be delivered directly to you. Go to helpourfundraiser.com, ordering number is 505348 and password is wrsacc2015. Catalog orders will also be taken at the Windham/Raymond sites from April 1-18. Internet ordering ends on May 31. As another fundraiser, the program is now selling raffles for the April community calendar. You may purchase the whole calendar for $25 or any days for $1 each. This will be on sale for the month of March. For more information, call Donna Cobb at 892-2002.
St. Patrick’s Dinner
Windham’s American Legion Post will hold its fifth annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner on Friday, March 20, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Windham Veterans Center, North Windham. Corned beef and cabbage and all the traditional fixings. Proceeds will benefit the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemorative Program to support and recognize Vietnam War veterans. Dancing with the Staff
On Thursday, March 26, at 7 p.m. Windham HS Project Graduation 2015 is once again presenting “Dancing with the Staff.” This fun-filled community event features some of your favorite teachers, support staff and community members dancing to support Project Grad. The finale will be on Wednesday, April 15, at 7 p.m. Both performances will be held at the Windham Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available at all RSU 14 schools. Adults are $10 and students are $5 per show. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door. This event is always a sellout, so plan to purchase your tickets now.
Church Supper
On Saturday, March 21, Windham Hill United Church of Christ will host a community supper from 5-6:30 p.m. The menu includes corned beef and cabbage, carrots, potato, onions and turnip. Beverages, desserts and Irish soda bread round out the meal. $8 for adults, $5 for those 12 and under.
Blue Lights and Funny Cider
On Saturday, March 21, at 9 a.m., retired Maine game warden John Ford and Mark Nickerson, a retired state trooper, will present “Blue Lights and Funny Cider,” a humorous look at their experiences in the woods and on the roads of Maine. Each has written about their law enforcement experiences, and books will be available at this special Windham Historical Society program at the public meeting room of Windham Public Library. Refreshments will be available. A $5 donation is suggested to help further the educational and public programs of the society. For directions and more information, call Dave at 892-1306.
Veteran Service Officer
VSO Matt Haley will not be available at the Windham Veterans Center until April when he will resume office hours on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays.
Last Chance
The Thrift Shop at North Windham Union Church is holding its popular “$5 Bag Sale” now through March 21. Shoppers can fill a bag for only $5. Books, housewares, clothing including children’s and baby clothes, toys and much more. Open from 1-3 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

‘Little Mermaid Jr.’
“Little Mermaid Jr.” is being presented by Windham Center Stage Theater from March 13-28. Directed by Diane Hancock, with musical direction by Patrick Martin and choreography by Shelbi Wassick.
