Just after noon on Sunday, a 2006 Lexus driven by Philo Street, 84, of Gorham, crashed into the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Main Street, injuring a Rite Aid employee and causing structural damage to the building.
According to Captain Michael Nugent, of the Westbrook Police Department, the employee was taken by Westbrook Rescue to the hospital with unknown injuries. Neither Street or his wife, Diana Street, who was a passenger in the car, were injured.
The Westbrook Code Enforcement Officer was called to the scene to assess the structural integrity of the building and the accident remains under investigation, Nugent said.
