2015 ‘Welcome to Raymond’ Brochure in Production
The Raymond Revitalization Committee is again heading the “Welcome to Raymond” brochure project for its fourth year. The previous editions have been well received. The 2015 project is now in production and will be complete and delivered this spring.
The many Raymond businesses which continue to support the project and make it possible are greatly appreciated; 16 advertisers have already renewed for 2015.
All businesses who had ads and paid listings in the 2014 edition are being contacted for renewals. If you did not participate in 2014, or are a newer or home-based business, please contact the committee if you would like to be included. A paid listing or display ad is required and the business must be based in Raymond.
Please contact project coordinator Ellie Stengel of Custom Designed Graphics if you would like to be included or for more information. Office: 892-5994 or e-mail cdg1@fairpoint.net .

After receiving many emails and Facebook correspondence, it seems that evening meetings may work better for many business owners so the next meeting with be on Thursday, March 12, at 7 p.m. at La Mexicana. Please consider joining the committee.
The committee was founded in January 2011 by Wayne Holmquist and Sam Gifford in an attempt to direct the economic future of Raymond. They focus on bringing members of the community together with business owners to explore different options as well as find creative and entrepreneurial ideas to help drive the develop of Raymond’s business district and promote the area as a competitive leader for quality goods production.
This year the Raymond Revitalization Committee has decided to move forward with a July 4th celebration for the town of Raymond. They will be putting together a committee to help plan this event. Anyone who wants to join, please contact Carrie Colby at cmcolby@maine.rr.com.
Public Safety Advisory
The Public Safety Department would like to remind you to check your and your neighbors’ heating exhaust vents. With high snowfall totals or back-to-back storms, vents can easily become blocked and allow the backflow of carbon monoxide or other harmful gases back into the home that can cause illness or even death. Regularly check the batteries in detectors every month and call 911 immediately if you suspect that you or someone else may be exhibiting symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning such as nausea, headaches, lethargy not associated with a cold or illness. Please call 207-655-1187 if you have any questions.
