PORTLAND (AP) — Officials say that falling ice is to blame for a gas leak that caused two Portland museums to be evacuated.

WMTW-TV reports that the Portland Museum of Art and the Children’s Museum of Maine were evacuated after the leak was reported Thursday at 11:40 a.m. The leak was plugged and people were allowed to return to the buildings about an hour later.

Officials say that a pipeline was punctured by ice that fell from the roof of the Children’s Museum.
