The hotel, located at 5 Park St., was selected as one of the highest-achieving Hilton Garden Inn properties in terms of service, customer satisfaction and cleanliness. Courtesy photoSarah Norden of Yarmouth, a sophomore at Merriconeag Waldorf School in Freeport, has been selected to tour with Circus Smirkus, an international, traveling youth circus based in Vermont. Norden, 15, will be part of the 2015 Circus Smirkus Big Top Tour. She will be the first girl from Maine since 1999 to be a part of the troupe. This summer, Norden will be among the 30 performers ages 11-18 who make up the cast of the Big Top Tour. She will travel to 15 cities and towns performing 70 shows before more than 60,000 people over the course of the summer. Circus Smirkus will stage four shows in Freeport at Merriconeag Waldorf School at the beginning of August. Norden has been training in the circus arts since the age of 7.
