Storm plays havoc with high school events – The Portland Press Herald

Several high school athletic events scheduled for Saturday were postponed, canceled or moved to earlier starting times because of a snowstorm.

The regional cheerleading championships at the Augusta Civic Center were moved to Monday, starting at 3 p.m. The other regional meet, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, will took place Saturday, but with an earlier starting time – 9 a.m.

The Southwestern Maine Activities Association canceled all four indoor track meets on Saturday’s schedule. They won’t be rescheduled.

The Westbrook Invitational wrestling meet also was canceled, along with a four-team wrestling meet at Fryeburg Academy.

The following basketball and hockey games have either been postponed or moved to an earlier starting time:
