Bone-chilling temperatures didn’t stop hundreds of people from attending Scarborough’s annual WinterFest celebration on Saturday afternoon for a slew of winter-related activities and contests.

The family-friendly events, held from noon-5:30 p.m. at the municipal ice rink and high school sports complex, included ice-skating, a snowshoe obstacle course, a snow sculpture contest, speed skating, slalom skating, fireworks and much more.
