The Thomas Memorial Library in Cape Elizabeth will reopen in its temporary facility on Wednesday, Jan. 14, a day later than it originally planned, due to unexpected construction delays.
The library was scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 13. The facility closed Jan. 5 so the library staff could spend a week transferring most of the library materials to Spurwink School where the library will operate during its $4 million renovation and expansion project.
According to the library’s website, the temporary facility will be open to the public on Wednesday after all fire safety requirements are in place.
Library patrons are being asked to hold onto any materials they need to return until the library reopens.
