OXFORD (AP) — A plan to build a 90-room hotel across from the Oxford Casino has taken a major step forward.
The developer has completed permitting and design phases of the project and Hilton Worldwide, owners of the Hampton brand, has given final approval.
The $15.4 million Hampton Inn should be complete before the end of the year.
The hotel is viewed as an essential accompaniment to provide lodging to gamblers visiting the casino.
Oxford-based developer Casalinova Development Group will now transition the responsibility for construction to Quincy, Massachusetts based owners GIRI Hotel Management. The group operates a range of hotel brands in New England.
