BATH — InspireME Personal Fitness and Wellness hosted its Annual Turkey Trot Thursday and raised more than $4,000 for the local food bank.
This year, not even a Thanksgiving Eve Nor’Easter could hold back the 3-mile Turkey Trot. Approximately 150 courageous, die-hard trotters braved the weather and raised $4,187 for the Bath Area Food Bank. According to the business, due to participation of sponsors — including Mid-Coast Hospital, Bath Savings Institution, First Federal Savings Bank, Atlantic Regional Federal Credit Union, Corrective Motion Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Inc, Brackett’s Market, Now You’re Cooking, Café Crème, Hannaford, David Matero Architecture, Renys and Arolynn Francis & Chuggie Pierce — 100 percent of the money raised will go directly to the food bank.
As for the race winners, the first female to cross the finish line was Michelle Sumner, 20, from Clinton, NJ. The first male to cross the finish line was Todd Coffin, 53, from Freeport. The first youth to cross the finish line was Will Shaughnessy, 12, of Brunswick.
