Holiday concert

The North Congregational Church, 22 Church Hill Road, in Groveville is sponsoring a holiday concert with Fanfare Band at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7. Admission is an unwrapped gift for an elderly person or a cash donation. Refreshments will be served during intermission.

‘Peabody Pew’ reminder

The annual production of the two-act holiday classic “The Old Peabody Pew” is set for 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, in the Tory Hill Meeting House, intersection of routes 202 and 112.

The show follows a tree lighting and refreshments at 5 p.m. Admission is $5, $2.50.

Wreaths to decorate vets graves

The South Buxton Cemetery Association is sponsoring its eighth annual Wreaths Across America ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the cemetery, 1187 River Road (Route 112). Seven wreaths representing each military branch will be presented at noon.

Wreaths will be placed on graves of veterans, coinciding with wreath laying at Arlington National Cemetery and 1,000 other locations in the nation.

Wreaths are $15 each. Those wishing to sponsor a wreath for the Buxton ceremony should call 929-6495.
