Federal and local law enforcement authorities arrested two Buxton suspects, a mother and her son, on two separate charges involving guns on Dec. 1.

William King Jr., chief deputy of the York County Sheriff’s Office, said in a report that Louise Cook, 49, of Buxton, was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

“Cook has been previously convicted of a felony, making her a prohibited person,” King said in the report.

King reported that Cook’s son, Raymond Pinkham, 21, of Buxton was charged with receiving stolen property, a class B felony because the property included a firearm.

The two suspects were taken to York County Jail in Alfred and bail was set at $25,000 for each. Both were in jail on Tuesday, according to a York County Jail spokeswoman.

Both suspects have been scheduled to appear on Jan. 21 in Alfred Superior Court.

Deputies from the York County and Cumberland County sheriff’s offices, Buxton Police Department officers and an agent from the federal Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) arrested the suspects.
