BIDDEFORD — Rita G. Ouellette, 92, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014 at home.

She was born in Biddeford on Aug. 28, 1922, the daughter of Henri and Melina (Henri) Labonte.

On Sept. 7, 1943, she married her soul mate, Charles Ouellette. They enjoyed ballroom dancing and bowling.

Rita was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family. She found great joy in genealogy, and her searches became very successful. She also showed great creativity in making crafts.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Charles; her son, Henri; a brother, Paul Labonte; a sister, Simone Maurice; a half brother, Arthur Croteau; and half sisters, Albertine Blais, Rose Auclair and Rachel Mauzeralle.

Surviving are: two daughters, Priscilla Sylvestre and her husband Norman and Theresa Hilton and her husband Donald, all of Biddeford; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Ouellette of Gardiner; one grandson, Scott Babb of Biddeford; one stepgranddaughter, Amy Hilton of Biddeford; six stepgrandsons, Scott Hilton and his wife Cindy of Dayton, Toby Hilton of Winthrop, Todd Hilton of Portland, Troy Hilton and his wife Christine of Biddeford, Charles Hilton and his wife Tabitha of East Waterboro and Jason Hilton and his wife Angel of Hollis Center; and three sisters, Theresa Delage of Portland, Blanche Demers of Biddeford and Georgette Warren of Shelbyville, Missouri.

There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at St. Anne’s Chapel of St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford.
