WESTBROOK – The Westbrook Downtown Coalition, a group working toward downtown revitalization, is keeping momentum going by rolling out its first event.
Coming off the recent hiring of a coordinator to lead the group, and officially being named a Maine Downtown Network, the coalition is moving ahead with a holiday window-decorating contest, designed to give a festive flair to downtown businesses.
The coalition is inviting all downtown businesses to participate in the window-decorating contest, and they can choose from three options to do so. Business owners can either ask their staff to decorate their storefront window, team up with an art class from the Westbrook School Department, or pair up with an artist from the Saccarappa Art Collective.
Businesses that wish to participate must contact Abigail Cioffi, the coalition coordinator, by Nov. 26, and windows should be completed by Dec. 5. All voting will take place on social media. Contact Cioffi at 391-2977 or downtownwestbrookcoalition@gmail.com.
