Sirocki thanks voters

I would like to express my gratitude to the voters of House District 28, part of Scarborough, for the confidence placed in me on Election Day. By voting to send me back to Augusta as your state representative, you made it clear that you support my legislative work on reforms that help individuals transition from welfare to self-reliance, prioritizing our spending, and improving our business climate to help create jobs and overall prosperity.

Over the past four years, much progress has been made. Among our many accomplishments: we paid our hospitals $748 million in overdue welfare Medicaid bills, delivered the largest income tax cut in Maine’s history, stabilized our once faltering and woefully underfunded state pension, increased funding for education, and we have made significant progress in eliminating the highest priority waitlists for our disabled populations.

My votes are based on facts, research and constituent input, and I appreciate the opportunity to continue the work involved with state government for the people of Scarborough during the upcoming legislative session. As a strong believer that an informed and engaged citizenry is vital to our form of government, if you have any questions or comments, I encourage you to contact me at heather.sirocki@gmail.com or 883-5609.

Rep. Heather Sirocki
