Through Nov. 16: Oak Hill Players present “White Christmas” at the Winslow Homer Center for the Arts at Scarborough High School, 20 Gorham Road, Scarborough, on Nov. 6,7,8 at 7 p.m.; Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.; Nov. 13,14,15 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.

Sunday, Nov. 16: From 2-4 p.m.,

Scarborough resident Roger Doiron will present information about Kitchen Gardens at the Scarborough Public Library. Founder and director of Kitchen Gardens International, Doiron is a highly published expert and award winner in the concept and design of kitchen gardens. He won the United Nations Foundation award for the kitchen garden he planted at the White House. The program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Monday, Nov. 17: Author Stephen King will appear at the Books-a-Million in South Portland to sign copies of his new book “Revival.” Tickets will be available beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11. In order to get a ticket, you must purchase a copy of “Revivial” at the South Portland Books-A-Million store and provide a receipt. Each customer must be present to receive one ticket per book purchased for the event. Only copies of “Revival” will be signed at this event, no other memorabilia or books. The South Portland stop is part of a six-city tour promoting the book.

Thursday, Nov. 20: Scarborough Garden Club monthly meeting starts at 12:30 p.m. at The Hillcrest Community Center, 108 Hillcrest Ave. Guest speakers Barbara Zaharis and Laurie Douglas will discuss holiday wreath decorating. For membership information, call 510-1371.

Saturday, Nov. 22: Scarborough Silent Auction takes place 5-7 p.m. at the new Wentworth School Cafe?. Lots of great deals on items such as: Lift tickets, jackets, restaurant dinners, hotel stays, messages, fitness programs, ski tunes and more. Dec. 6: The Cape Elizabeth United Methodist Church will host its Jolly Snowman Christmas Fair from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
