Pierce ekes out victory
Teresa S. Pierce, a former chairwoman of the Falmouth Town Council, narrowly defeated challenger Gregory S. Payeur of Falmouth for the District 44 seat.
Pierce, a Democrat, received 51.5 percent of the votes to Republican Payeur’s 48.5 percent. Only 148 votes separated them. The district includes part of Falmouth.
