Former Cumberland County Sheriff Mark Dion was re-elected to the District 43 seat in the Maine House.

Dion, 59, a Democrat and a lawyer, received 67 percent of the vote, handily beating Shannon Rafferty-Roy of Portland, who ran for the seat as a Republican.

The district includes parts of Falmouth and Portland.
