A home at 30 Browning Way in Cumberland was damaged by a smoky fire Saturday afternoon.

Cumberland Fire Chief Dan Small said the fire, which started at about 4:30 p.m. on a stove, heavily damaged the kitchen. He said smoke damaged the rest of the house. The home is owned by Howell Copp.

Small said repairs would have to be made to the house before it could be reoccupied. No one was hurt in the fire, which took about 10 minutes to contain.
