If you would like to preserve a woman’s right to make decisions for her own body even in the case of incest, rape or her health, then it’s time for a change in our representation in Augusta.

Our current representative now believes that a woman has no right to these decisions and must bear an unwanted child in all cases – i.e., rape, incest, to preserve her own life – no matter what. ?If you would like to see MaineCare expanded to provide healthcare for low-income folks who end up in the ER with the most expensive health care available that taxpayers actually have to pay for, vote for new representation in Augusta. This expanded care would be paid with federal money with minimal cost to the state. This care can be preventive so health issues can be addressed in their early stages rather than when it is the most expensive to provide with less effective outcomes. This program will reduce healthcare costs for everyone.?

I will be voting for Mary Fernandes for State House representative District 66 on Nov. 4. She is energetic, intelligent and is not an ideologue. She will weigh each matter on its merits and what is best for Maine people. She will not adhere to one rigid view but will thoughtfully consider all issues.
