I have great respect for Sue Austin. She’s a fine lady, and clearly cares deeply about the town of Gray.
But I’m voting for Bonnie Titcomb-Lewis to represent us in the State House.
Compare their resumes. Sue has a spotless attendance record; Bonnie has actually accomplished things. Would Sebago Lake be a nuclear-waste dump now without Bonnie?
My reading of Bonnie is that she’s a leader: someone who can and will get people together to find solutions to Maine’s problems. She’ll help our schools get the funding they need; bring property taxes down to where they should be; see that the state government lives up to its obligations. What she will never, never do is be a passive voice, saying what the leadership wants her to say. Instead, she’ll be a leader.
I guess you could call me a liberal – but I’m also a taxpayer, living on a pretty fixed income. I don’t have a penny to waste on inefficient government. I want a government that operates efficiently and effectively, which is something I haven’t seen for a long, long time.
I think Bonnie Titcomb-Lewis can be help bring us that kind of government.
