On Nov. 4, I will take the opportunity to support Lindsay Sterling for school board. I encourage you to do the same. On behalf of Freeport and our most precious resource, our children, Lindsay is prepared to take to the sky and give Freeport “new wings” during a pivotal time. As a friend and neighbor, I know Lindsay to be informed, intelligent, passionate, kind, and energetic. Lindsay always immerses herself in her pursuits and commits all of her energy to the tasks before her. She has spent the last few years attending meetings, asking questions, offering support, and educating herself and others about the challenges our schools face. She has kept a front-row seat during all discussions regarding renovation, innovation and withdrawal.

Lindsay’s style is to listen, study, collaborate and educate. As a mother of two, Lindsay believes in the power and importance of quality education balanced with a strong athletics program. As a property owner, she also recognizes that a stronger school system makes for a stronger community. Lindsay is ready to take on the important duties of a School Board member. A vote for Sterling is a vote for Freeport.
