Please consider my endorsement of Sally Leland as candidate for sewer trustee in Freeport. I met Sally and her husband Doug when they were planning the renovation of their home in Freeport. I immediately liked her cheerful disposition and kind smile, but later for the way she worked with me through the myriad complicated decisions as we planned and constructed her house.

Sally is practical, professional, very intelligent and knows how to disagree without being disagreeable. She has extensive prior board experience, including board service to a sewer district when she lived in Pennsylvania.

As a resident and business owner, I am active in civic affairs and understand the commitment required to volunteer for an elected position. Sally is involved in her community and wants to ensure the sewer district runs effectively and efficiently, while being a good neighbor to our fishing community.

I applaud her interest and commitment. I plan to vote for Sally and hope you do, too.
