It’s great to be able to support a political candidate so wholeheartedly. I’ve known Mattie Daughtry since she was a little thing, and she has grown into a force to be reckoned with. She is outspoken and yet able to listen to opinions on both sides of the house. She has a wonderful sense of humor and a keen and intelligent mind. She can speak cogently without referring to notes because she has a thorough grasp of the issues.
Since she has made it into the House she has worked on education issues. She helped stop the governor’s plan to end sharing revenue for education with towns like Brunswick. She has supported improving student’s financial literacy, and has been behind a law that would help support community service.
It’s not often that we get to support someone as intelligent and open as Mattie. Enjoy your opportunity.
